START ART! PAINTING ANALYSIS WORKSHOPS
The Painting Analysis Workshops are designed to teach basics of painting analysis and art history to art enthusiasts in Gothenburg. Every Workshop focuses on a period and provides information on that period’s characteristics, artists, historical background and analysis of famous paintings. The Workshops’ target group is absolute beginners to art who have no background knowledge but just pure interest in learning. The aim of each Workshop is to have each participant to reach a level of knowledge with which they can identify paintings from that period and analyse the content and styles of new paintings.

RENAISSANCE (6 Lectures)
Workshop Content:
– Introduction to art history and art periods
– Main characteristics of Renaissance Period
– Renaissance styles, painters and techniques
– Early, Italian, Northern, Venetian Renaissance styles and Mannerism
